To get Apple's approval for these devices, Wadia engineered a special new wired dock, which snaps into the top of the iTransport 171, giving it a sleek look and keeping the iPhone's cell phone capabilities away from the delicate circuitry within the 171. That it also happens to work great with the iPad is purely coincidental, wink, wink.

Control This
The 171 gets an awesome remote, a cool metal job, with functions the previous generation couldn't dream of. It feels great in the hand, lets you select tracks, albums, even playlists with ease and best of all, unlike the previous generation remote, this one is big enough not to be interesting to animals.
