Humble Pie's 1972 album Smokin' peaked at #6 on the U.S. Billboard 200 album charts. The first post-Peter Frampton release from the group finds Steve Marriott taking over the reigns and it resulted in the band's best-selling album. Highlights include versions of Eddie Cochran's "C'mon Everybody," Junior Walker's "Road Runner" and the wah-wah laden slow blues "The Fixer." Alexis Korner guests on "Old Time Feelin'" and Greg Ridley takes over for Marriott on lead vocals.
