The System Enhancement Disc not only burn-ins and demagnetizes the system, it also rejuvenates components, allowing them to sound their best. The System Enhancement Disc exercises the system across the full range of frequencies and amplitudes encountered during playback. To do this, the three tracks on this disc have been devised to cover the entire audio band from top to bottom, ensuring high amplitude signals are combined with high speed signals. For an audio system this is the equivalent of doing cardio and weight training simultaneously.
Although the frequencies on the System Enhancement Disc cover the same range as music, there is no relation, perceived or calculated between the tones on the disc and actual music. Music is created from a specific progression of notes at a particular rhythm(s), which is quite pleasurable, but not the most efficient way of burning in a component. To properly burn-in a component, the signal must feature high-speed activity coupled with high-amplitude excursions. The System Enhancement Disc contains three tracks which deliver exactly this. Each track has been produced according to strict mathematical criterial so as to place the greatest stress on the important parts of every component in the system, without endangering any part of it. None of these tracks will damage a normal music system at normal listening levels. There is absolutely no benefit to playing this disc back at higher than normal listening levels and very high volume levels can damage equipment, just as listening to very loud music can damage your equipment (and your hearing).
Tracks
The System Enhancement Disc features three tracks, which once started should be played all the way through for maximum benefit:
0.1 (30 minutes) This track and the second are very similar, both being designed specifically for use with speakers. This track is very slightly bandwidth limited, for use with smaller systems or those with stand-mounted speakers.
0.2 (30 minutes) Although similar to Track 1, the benefits this track are audible. Designed for full-range systems with larger speakers, this track offers a slightly greater dynamic range, working the system out a bit more.
Track 0.3 (5 minutes) is specifically developed as a quick "tune-up" track consisting of some of the "hi-fi aerobics" from Tracks 0.1 and 0.2, followed by a slightly less comprehensive demagnetization regime. This track should be used whenever the system has sat idle for a bit as a warm-up.
