We're often asked what the difference is between the AC series and the Jewel Power Cords; the primary difference is in the conductors; Jewel series uses stranded conductors and the AC Series use solid-core conductors.  Although this might seem like a preference issue; solid-core conductors have substantially lower distortion and deliver higher current; this means they sound bigger and better and bigger, delivering a sharper image with greater focus.  Unfortunately, this additional refinement comes at a price, solid core conductors are more expensive than stranded making them too pricey to be used in the Jewel series.
