VPI's Classic 2 Turntable is an homage to the incredible VPI designs that have made VPI synonymous with state of the art turntable design for the last 25 years. The VPI Classic 2 comes standard with the incredible new stainless steel version of the JMW-10.5i unipivot tonearm in rigid mount mode and VPI's VTA Base. The JMW-10.5i uses VPI's pure copper wire, a solid plinth with either a real wood finish, a solid fixed mounted AC synchronous motor, silent inverted bearing, and new Mini HR-X isolation feet.

Classic 2 VTA Base
The Classic 2 comes with a VTA base which allows on-the-fly adjustments of VTA. Even very slight changes in VTA can have a broad effect on the sound of your analog system and properly dialing in VTA allows more of the best qualities of your cartridge to shine. The Classic 2 adjustable VTA Base allows fine adjustments of Vertical Tracking Angle while the record is playing. This "on the fly" adjustment makes quick work of those important tiny changes that optimize the presentation of your analog rig. For those of you with multiple armwands, the VTA Base allows quick swaps, even with varied height cartridges, and easily repeatable results.

Classic Evolutions
There are three versions of the Classic turntable, Classic 1, Classic 2 and Classic 3. Classic 1 is the standard model, offering outstanding overall performance, featuring the Classic Aluminum Platter, the JMW-10.5i and mini-H-RX feet. Classic 2 adds VPI's VTA Base, allowing fine on-the-fly adjustments of VTA. Classic 3 is the ultimate evolution of the Classic design in both performance and appearance. The Classic 3 is a much heavier design, with a resonance eliminating 1/2" thick aluminum plinth and a gorgeous piano black base. The Classic 3 also includes VPI's Ring Clamp and HR-X Weight for improved record coupling. The JMW-10.5i is upgraded with a new Stainless Steel armtube and Valhalla wiring.
