In the Shadows is the third full-length album by Danish heavy metal band Mercyful Fate, originally released in 1993 on Metal Blade Records. The album contains the bonus track, entitled "Return of the Vampire" which was re-recorded with Lars Ulrich of Metallica on drums. Although Snowy Shaw is listed in the booklet as the drummer, all drums were recorded by Morten Nielsen. Double 180g gatefold reissue on blue vinyl.
