Oh No Oh My People Problems on LP

Oh No Oh My writes songs that beat down your senses and fill up your boots with a feeling like you’ve just gotta, at the very least, move. The band jokingly describes their music as "sexy indie" which is what you might expect from an Austin-based foursome who cite Serge Gainsbourg's Histoire De Melody Nelson, Spiritualized's Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space and Nico's Chelsea Girls as influences on their second full-length album People Problems.

Multi-instrumentalists Daniel Hoxmeier, Joel Calvin, Greg Barkley and Tim Regan showcase a “relaxed, effortless feel” and “pull no punches, anything goes strategy” (Pitchfork) on 12 melodically driven tunes that range from winsome plaints to slightly off-kilter rockers, including seven tracks with hauntingly beautiful strings.

Oh No Oh My collaborated with sound engineers Jeff Byrd (Spoon, John Vanderslice) and Brad Bell (Spoon, Meat Puppets) in recording People Problems, the follow-up to 2008’s Dmitrji Dmitrji EP. The album was recorded in the studio of Spoon drummer Jim Eno and at Hoxmeier's Sugarcube studio (named after the Yo La Tengo song).
