While The Electric Prunes' 1967 sophomore release Underground doesn't feature any hit singles along the lines of its predecessor's "I Had to Much to Dream (Last Night)," the album is significantly more consistent than their debut as a result of producer Dave Hassinger not providing as much outside material and the band contributing five of the twelve songs.
