The albums have been re-mastered by a dedicated team of engineers that includes Guy Massey, Steve Rooke, Sam Okell with Paul Hicks and Sean Magee at EMI’s Abbey Road Studios in London over a four year period utilizing state of the art recording technology alongside vintage studio equipment, carefully maintaining the authenticity and integrity of the original analogue recordings. The result of this painstaking process is the highest fidelity the catalog has seen since its original release.

Within each CD’s new packaging, booklets include detailed historical notes along with informative recording notes. 

Previously available as two separate releases, Past Masters is now combined into one two-disc set. Volume 1 consists of mostly pre-1965 Beatles, with some classics like "Love Me Do," "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "She Loves Me." Volume 2 picks up with late 1965 recordings and features hits like "Revolution," "Hey Jude" and "Let It Be."
