The Everly Brothers' self-titled 1958 debut is a fine, consistent effort divided between original material and respectably energetic covers of early rockers by Little Richard, Gene Vincent and Ray Charles. In addition to their first few hits, it includes some superb, underappreciated tracks that are nearly as good, such as "Should We Tell Him" and "I Wonder If I Cared as Much."
