Oslo, Norway's I Was A King debuted in 2007 with the European release of the critically acclaimed album Losing Something Good For Something Better. On its successor, I Was A King, frontman Frode Stromstad further explores his unique gift of creating addictive melodies with distinctive roots to the 60's distorted through the sound of the 90's. The album was recorded at Marlborough Farms in Brooklyn and features performances by Emil Nikolaisen (Serena Maneesh), Suan Stevens, Daniel Smith (Daneilson) and Gary Olson (Ladybug Transistor). I Was A King was mixed by Nick Terry (Primal Scream, The Libertines).
