Pete Doherty Grace/Wastelands On Limited Edition Import LP! 

Ever since Up The Bracket was released in 2002 there have been whispers about a solo album from Pete Doherty but as his problems and addictions have worsened it seemed the chances of anything coming to light were slim to none. However, Doherty signed a contract with Parlophone owing them two Babyshambles albums and one solo effort. So following Shotter’s Nation and the live album Oh What A Lovely Tour from Babyshambles comes that solo offering entitled Grace/ Wastelands.

Recorded with Graham Coxon on guitars, Grace/Wastelands is a mostly acoustic affair with the exception of the lead single "Last Of The English Roses," which also happens to be one of the album's highlights. The album applies classic instruments not found on any of the artist's previous releases, including a hearty dose of strings plus horns, tambourines and lots of piano. The set here is mellow and laidback, hearkening to an older, simpler time. Produced by Stephen Street (Blur Parklife).
