Correcto is a Glaswegian super art-group collaboration that includes a member of Franz Ferdinand as well as a member of labelmates The Royal We. However, this project is about the sum of its parts and the songwriting charms of lead singer Danny Saunders, who pens bittersweet songs about chocolate and girls that is equal parts Vaselines, The Kinks and Pete Shelley after Howard Devoto split town. Inspired by the mundane, the fantastical, mawkish behaviour and hangovers; the result is an exemplary album of necessarily direct and unhampered songs, which are somehow familiar yet humanly original swipes at modern pop music.
