In a similar fashion to Breather Resist or Deadguy, Syracuse, NY's Engineer have garnered a reputation of being a no-frills, bring the house down around you, wall of noise that will play the floor of whatever venue is brave enough to host their beast-like live performances.

Engineer boast a maturity and intelligence in their sound that appeal to the Neanderthal hardcore music lover and clever vinyl collector alike. Their newest record, Crooked Voices, maintains a dreary, dismal vibe while being their most dynamic, versatile and listenable effort to date.

Flowing from start to finish with its share of battering ram choppy parts and dramatic flares of ambience, the album rocks you with swelling atmospheric bits that set you up for a musical avalanche that comes with their next thundering rock explosion.

Produced by Jocko (Ed Gein, Unholy), Engineer incorporates some subtle vocal harmonies and piano, violin, pedal steel and a bowed 1/4 bass in select songs here to lend to the mood and ultimately created their best and most diverse record to date.
