Una Mas is an excellent groover from Kenny Dorham and it ranks as one of his best albums for Blue Note. The tracks are extremely long and Dorham is pushing past his bop roots towards a Latin feel on Una Mas that's surprising when you look at his earlier material. He's supported here by a fresh group of modernist geniuses including Herbie Hancock on piano, Joe Henderson on tenor, Butch Warren on bass and Tony Williams drums. Includes the three long, incredible Dorham originals; "Una Mas" on side one, and "Straight Ahead" and "Sao Paulo" on the flip.
