Originally released in 1966, and featuring the great Muscle Shoals production of Rick Hall and Tom Dowd, Wilson Pickett's breakout Atlantic recording, The Wicked Pickett is a dynamic collection of gospel, R&B and soul that helped make Pickett one of the biggest stars of the '60s soul movement.

Thanks to fine support from seasoned session players Charlie Chalmers, Chips Moman, Tommy Cogbill, Spooner Oldham and Roger Hawkins, Wicked Pickett boasted a bolder sound than Pickett's earlier efforts, as heard on their famous rendition of "Mustang Sally" and Bobby Womack's "Nothing You Can Do."
