Design
CIAudio is known for building ultra-reliable, high quality, great sounding audio components. Part of CIAudio's high reliability is the care taken in parts selection and the ultra-clean power delivered from ultra-quiet, ultra-clean power circuits. The VDC-SB's design is based around a 4A continuous rated transformer, a discrete Schottky diode bridge rectifier, an AC line filter, a precision voltage regulator circuit, and 20,000uF of filter capacitance.

Other Upgrades
The VDC-SB responds well to upgraded power cords and we certainly recommend upgrading! The VDC-SB has a standard IEC inlet, so choose any of our 15Amp AC cords for a big boost in performance. To get the most out of your Squeezebox, we recommend adding a CIAudio VDA-2 D/A converter and its upgraded power supply, the VAC-1 High Current power supply to create a wireless digital audio source that will compete with some of the world's most expensive CD players!
