Set Includes 12" Booklet Featuring Expanded Liner Notes and 36" x 24" Poster of Cover Artwork It took more than a decade of fans demanding it be done. And given the contentious nature of the ex-members, no one was ever certain that the wishes would come true. But it has. After many years of waiting, Rhino Records UK presents Complete, eight albums by The Smiths lovingly reworked by Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr and Rhino UK and packaged together for the first time. Each album has been remastered from the original tape sources by engineer Frank Arkwright, with assistance from Marr, at London's world-famous Metropolis Studios.
The result? The hands-down best-sounding, most-definitive pressings of the Smiths music that the world has ever seen. Every one of the uber-influential group's studio songs, B-sides and all, in one place, forever preserved on a format and in a set worthy of their magnitude. Complete includes all four of the band's studio albums: The Smiths (1984), Meat Is Murder (1985), The Queen Is Dead (1986), Strangeways, Here We Come (1987) and its sole live album Rank (1988) as well as firm fan favorite compilations Hatful Of Hollow (1984), The World Won’t Listen (1987), and Louder Than Bombs (1987).
Of these albums, five are single-LPs while three are double-LP sets. Fans will recognize all of the original artwork and some of the contents, as a 12" booklet featuring new liner notes helps round out the package.
