2002's Deep End Volume 2 is the second of two releases from the southern heavy-blues collective Gov't Mule dedicated to founding member Allen Woody who passed away in 2000. Intended as just one album initially, as the sessions proceeded the list of bass players Woody admired became longer and longer leaving the remaining members Warren Haynes and Matt Abts no choice but to split the project into two releases. Volume 2's 13-tracks feature contributions from Phil Lesh, Les Claypool, Jason Newsted, Billy Cox, Jack Casady, Me'shell Ndegeocello, Dave Schools and Chris Squire among others. 180g 2LP pressing with full color insert from Music On Vinyl.
