Anthony Wilson exhibits an uncanny ability to produce a sound from his guitar like no other, a beautifully resonate tone that is unmatched by any fellow jazz guitarist. His majestic efforts on the guitar, backed by Mark Ferber on the drums and Joe Bagg on the Hammond B-3, allow the trio to deliver some of the best jazz trio music we have heard. This album features a similar mix of originals and covers along with performances that cover the bluesy up tempo groove of “Fleur D’Ennui” through to the introspection of “A Child Is Born.”
