2007's I Love You, Go Easy finds Virginia-raised/Berlin-based artist Devon Sproule going back to her roots and place of birth, Ontario, Canada, where she teamed up with Canadian producer Sandro Perri, and backing band The Silt. The Silt’s experimental-pop influence suits Sproule’s new material remarkably well here, as it does on the well-chosen covers “Body’s in Trouble” by the Toronto-native and cult heroine Mary Margaret O’Hara and “Runs in the Family” by The Roches. Deluxe heavyweight vinyl housed in a heavy card gatefold sleeve.
