Released in 1970, one month after founder Lou Reed left the band, Loaded found the Velvet Underground headed in a more commercial direction yet still maintaining all of its cutting-edge trademarks. Supremely influential, the album has been ranked the 109th Best Album of All Time by Rolling Stone.
