Eric Clapton walked the extra mile for Behind the Sun. Upon Warner Bros.' insistence, the guitar god scrapped the planned original album and turned in this set, featuring a superior batch of songs written by Jerry Williams and Clapton backed by Los Angeles session players under the direction of legendary producers Joey Waronker and Ted Templemen. Produced by Phil Collins and featuring guest appearances by Lindsey Buckingham and Steve Lukather, Behind the Sun is solid from start to finish, and includes the hit singles "Forever Man" and "See What Love Can Do." All in all, a classic Clapton effort.
