Rush ABC 1974 on 180g Colored Import 2LP
Although Rush officially formed in 1968, it wasn't until drummer Neil Peart joined the group in 1974 that they hit full stride. Peart joined Rush just two weeks before the band's first U.S. tour, one in which they played the infamous Agora Ballroom in Cleveland, OH. Radio station WMMS was on hand to record and broadcast the concert across the airwaves, a very special document in the band's history in that it was their very first radio broadcast! Not only does the set incorporate material from Rush's self-titled 1974 debut and early versions of songs from their impending 1975 release Fly By Night, but it also includes a cover of Larry Williams' "Bad Boy" and the very rare cuts "Fancy Dancer" and "Garden Road" from the pre-Peart era. This double 180g colored vinyl collection from Rock Classics Records is wonderfully rounded out by three bonus tracks from their second ABC broadcast a year later for WMMR Cleveland. Rush ABC 1974 Track Listing: LP1 1. Finding My Way 2. The Best I Can 3. Need Some Love 4. In The End 5. Fancy Dancer 6. In The Mood 7. Bad Boy 8. Here Again LP2 1. Working Man 2. Drum Solo 3. What You're Doing 4. Garden Road 5. Anthem 6. Beneath, Between & Behind 7. Fly By Night |
