This is a special version of the record clamp designed to work with the shorter spindle on Rega turntables and other decks with extremely short spindles. Identified by the letter 'R' engraved on the clamp. Made of black Delrin with a black-anodized aluminum knob. Clamps the record solidly to the platter to eliminate vinyl resonances and prevent slipping. Unlike the other Michell clamp, the Rega clamp does not come with a felt washer as it is not needed for this particular clamp.
