Recorded in 1968-69, side A features the only known recording of the band’s original line-up (John Dawson, David Nelson, Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh and Mickey Hart), plus two even earlier pre-NRPS tracks, while Side B represents Dawson’s resurrection of the band in 1989 with an entirely new line-up.
