The commercial success of this album's predecessor, Aja, made both the band and the dynamic duo of Walter Becker and Donald Fagen household names. Perhaps the most perfect recording ever made, the band spent three years in seven different studios and over a million dollars finely honing the music and the production to a razor sharp edge. The standout tracks 'Babylon Sisters', 'Hey Nineteen' and 'Time Out of Mind' have stood the test of time and are just as memorable now as they were 23 years ago. This would be the last Steely Dan record for over two decades and what a fitting way to put the their collective careers on hiatus. As if Gaucho wasn't an incredible enough sonic masterpiece, you can know revel in all of it's technical precision through the superior sound of DVD-A.
