His first ever CD greatest-hits collection, Neil Young's Greatest Hits is a long-awaited retrospective from one of rock's most influential and enduring singer-songwriters-guitarists. With 16 selections spanning his entire career since 1969, Greatest Hits features some of the greatest hits of rock'n'roll, period. Greatest Hits is a CD+DVD package that includes the original stereo master mixes (for highest resolution listening) on CD and a higher resolution version on DVD (this is not a Video disc, its a higher resolution 24bit/96k audio version of the CD for enhanced audio!...and it sounds truly amazing!)..

For the DVD version, when each song is played, the DVD displays the cover of the vinyl album, and the original LP spinning on turntable! Cool! Bonus features include a photo gallery, lyrics and music videos for 'Harvest Moon' and 'Rockin' in the Free World.'

Young’s 1^st true greatest hits CD is also being presented in DVD-stereo, mixed from the original master recordings. Here's what Neil has to say about this project:'One of the most important jobs of any musician is to provide quality sound to the people,' explains Young. 'Quality has taken a hit in recent years, but it's starting to come back thanks to DVD-stereo. There is just no comparison between DVD-stereo and a regular compact disc or even 5.1 sound. It's the difference between a true reflection of the music and a mere replica. I've always been a strong believer in analog, and this is about as close to the rewarding listening experience of vinyl as the real thing.'
