HANDEL - WATER MUSIC - ROYAL FIREWORKS - JOHANNES SOMARY-ECO (HYBRID SACD)

American conductor and composer Johannes Somary is renowned as an expert on the Baroque period and four of his recordings won Stereo Review's Record of the Year awards. For the Royal Fireworks Music he returned to the original scoring and eschewed use of any later revisions. Both pieces remain among the most stirring and delightful works ever written.
