Another Killer Devo Album Restored in Analog

Devo's second album, Duty Now for the Future, captures the group in the midst of a significant stylistic shift. On the band's first album, for all the herky-jerky rhythms and electronic accents, Devo was pretty much a standard guitars/bass/drums rock band, albeit one with more than its share of eccentricities. Yet Duty Now for the Future finds the quintet bringing keyboards that were used as punctuation accents their earlier material into the forefront, adding new levels of irony to the group's "little minds through big technology" philosophy. Brilliant!

Mastered and restored from the original analog tape at Bernie Grundman Mastering, Warner Bros.' pressing of this 1979 classic is by far the definitive version available and extends the label's series of Devo releases on LP!
