In 1977, Denise Mercedes returned from London to start her own band, recruiting Patrick Mack (guitar & vocals) artist/fashionista Nick Marden on bass and, after trying out the likes of Jerry Nolan (Heartbreakers, NY Dolls) and Johnny Blitz (Dead Boys) on drums, settled on a then 11 year-old Harley Flanagan (Cro-Mags, Harley’s War).

A long awaited re-issue on vinyl of the celebrated ROIR cassette, the Stimulators’ Loud Fast Rules! is more than just a record; it’s a piece of New Yorkpunk history. The band’s only full-length work (amongst a handful of coveted 7”s) is a must have record for any self-respecting punk’s collection.
