Quasi (Sam Coomes, Janet Weiss, Joanna Bome) has been rocking the sticky floored graffiti scrawled dimly lit trenches since '93 and American Gong is their eighth album and first on the Kill Rock Stars label. This also marks the group's first time out as a trio with the addition of bassist Joanna Bolme who splits her time between Quasi and Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks. American Gong was mixed by  Steve Fisk, Tucker Martine and Dave Fridmann.
