Audioquest's Sorbothane self-stick 6' X 6' sheet lets you easily put effective damping everywhere it's needed. Sorbothane is a synthetic visco-elastic polymer. The very long molecules are free to wiggle (important technical term) and thereby dissipate kinetic energy (motion) as heat.

Examples of applications:

-Cut into eight pieces and put under corners of two speakers to prevent sympathetic vibration.

-Tapping on the cases of equipment, especially CD players and tube electronics, will show you what areas need damping. Apply inside or outside the case.

-Use on phono cartridge bodies and tonearm headshells to improve definition and imaging.
