The AT95e is a Stereophile Recommended Cartridge! 

Leave it to Michael Fremer to uncover a bargain Audio-Technica phono cartridge from Japan! After much difficulty, we found a source for this “diamond in the rough!” This cartridge is quite a performer, given its low price. While the Audio Technica AT95E isn’t going to dethrone any of the great cartridges in the $200-$300 range, the AT95e offers excellent, affordable performance. 

The AT95e is a moving magnet design with 3.5mV output. Featuring an elliptical stylus and a sturdy motor structure, the AT95e “makes music for around 50 bucks!”
