BAT VK-250 - A Natural Sounding Solid-State Amp with Authority, Control and Musicality!

Balanced Audio Technology has knocked one way out of the park with the stellar VK-250 Solid State Power Amplifier. Compact and graceful, the VK-250 is the perfect complement to BAT’s universally praised lineup of preamplifiers.

The elegant signal path follows BAT’s purist approach of using zero negative feedback to achieve design goals of wide bandwidth and circuit linearity. Just as in BAT's flagship amplifier, the VK-600, only two gain blocks are employed. Each gain stage incorporates Caddock loading resistors for greater transparency and insight to the musical event.

The VK-250 has enormous power; it will drive virtually any loudspeaker with excellent control. The sonic signature is one of warmth and musicality, with a great sense of sonic weight and sheer dynamic slam. Once you hear what the VK-250 can do in your system, you too will become a BAT believer!

Continuing BAT’s tradition of offering high-performance upgrades, BAT offers the innovative BAT-PAK™ upgrade.  The VK-250 SE triples the amplifier's 'Depth Charge' style oil capacitors, providing a top-to-bottom improvement in coherence that is the very essence of musicality.

Although the VK-250 is a stereo amplifier, it can be either ordered or upgraded to a monoblock configuration, creating a mono amplifier known as the VK-250M. Two monoblock VK-250Ms are required for stereo operation and provide outstanding performance.
