The Clearaudio Performance's New Magnetic Bearing Isolates the Platter

The Performance Package is the newest offering from German analog masters, Clearaudio. This table/tonearm combination delivers terrific performance with stunning looks and excellent value. The base is constructed of two layers of synthetic marble sandwiched with aluminum inbetween. The motor is separate from the base to minimize hum or vibration interference. But the real magic of the Performance is in the bearing! Clearaudio’s new magnetic bearing allows the platter to literally float in the air, removing any friction or drag that can occur with traditional bearing designs. The Performance package also includes the superb Satisfy Carbon Fiber Tonearm. Available in white pearl (shown) or black pearl.
