DYNAVECTOR - DV XX-2 PHONO CARTRIDGE

The Dynavector XX-2 Mk2 low-output MC cartridge features a solid boron cantilever, a line-contact stylus, pure continuous-casting copper coil windings, and an output of .28mV and 6 ohm impedance. The ridged, aluminum body weighs 8 grams and will work with almost any tonearm. The XX-2 Mk2 version's updated Alnico magnet design delivers a deep and powerful bottom with a dynamic and detailed top-end!

The original Dynavector XX-1 was the first cartridge to feature a 'magnetic flux damper' (patented) and softened magnetism' (patented) processes that reject the magnetic fluctuation that is detrimental to a moving coil cartridges performance.

The XX-2 Mk2 retains the benefit of the flux damper but features an updated magnet structure. Alnico magnets exhibit high magnetic flux density combining with a low coercive effect. Therefore, magnetic resistance is lower than other magnetic types such as rare earth and ferrite, creating the exceptional stability of the XX-2 Mk2's output voltage. There is also the additional advantage of low magnetic and electrical resistance contributing to a discernable improvement in sound quality.

The XX-2 Mk2 also exhibits deep powerful bass, treble is both clear and lively possessing none of the hardness found in many moving coil designs. This can be accredited to not only Dynavector's skilled assembly techniques but also a meticulous attention to design, materials, and engineering expertise.

The XX-2 Mk2 features a 6 mm solid boron cantilever fitted with a Pathfinder Line contact stylus. PCOCC (pure copper OHNO continuous casting process) copper wire is used for the coil. The output voltage of 0.28mV and 6 ohms impedance are suited to most moving coil phono stages.

Although the XX-2 Mk2 chassis is of solid aluminum for rigid construction, its total weight of 8.0 grams makes it suitable for a variety of popular tone arms.
