EAR - 324 REFERENCE PHONO PREAMP

E.A.R. 324P - Mobile Fidelity's Reference Phono Preamp

Tim de Paravicini is one the world’s most prestigious audio engineers. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab’s famous mastering system could not possibly have its resolving characteristics without the expertise of this design genius. Tim started EAR (Esoteric Audio Research Ltd.) almost 30 years ago with a design philosophy of building audio components with capabilities beyond any current design. The EAR 324 is just such a piece. Built to be used as a reference for analog playback by both consumers and mastering studios, the solid state EAR 324 is infinitely adjustable, mates with any cartridge in the world and most importantly, presents musical events with proper timing, tonality and realism. Two separate inputs allow easy switching between two turntables (or two arms on one ‘table), infinite adjustability with any phono cartridge, gain is 50dB in MM mode and 70dB in MC mode, and can be reduced by 6 or 12dB if needed. Call us and ask about our experience with this incredible phonostage. We have heard the EAR 324 in many system configurations with several tables and cartridges, playing every type of music. Tim de Paravicini set out to design his final statement on phono pre-amplification and we think you will agree his goal was realized. This may be the last phono preamp you ever purchase!

“Of course, there’s nothing cheap about it: The 324 is well designed and superbly engineered, and its musical performance speaks for itself. Take it for what it is - a serious downright scary assault on the state of the art of phono amplification. Recommended with great enthusiasm and no small amount of envy.” – Art Dudley, Stereophile July 2004.
