LYRA - ARGO(i) PHONO CARTRIDGE

Imporved Lyra Argo(i) Sounds Even Better!

Attention Analog Lovers...Breaking News...this Lyra Cartridge is a KILLER!

When Lyra ceased production of the venerable Lydian Beta, many of you (and all of us!) were saddened to see the cartridge retired. But we knew Lyra had a plan to introduce a replacement model and have been waiting patiently for months and months for the results. Well...the fruits of Lyra's labors have finally arrived; it's called the Lyra Argo(i) and wait until you hear what they have accomplished!

The sound is rich and musical without sacrificing any of the detail retrieval or dynamics you expect from a Lyra design. While not as ultimately refined sounding as the Helikon, the Argo(i)'s sonic signature more closely resembles the new Reference Lyra Titan than it does the Helikon's. There is added warmth from the mid-band on up that the older Lydian Beta just doesn't deliver. Every vinyl disc we throw at the Argo is reproduced faithfully with a timbral accuracy we never expected at this price. From large orchestral works to small chamber pieces, intimate jazz settings to classic rock extravaganzas; all will keep you up late into the night pulling out LP after LP to hear what the Lyra Argo(i) can do!

Completely redesigned from top to bottom, the only thing the Argo(i) shares with the older Lydian Beta is the stylus guard! It’s machined from a single piece of aluminum alloy for increased rigidity, adds Rhodium plated pins (better conductivity and durability than gold plating!), it’s light weight, about 6.4 grams, allows this cartridge to mate with many more arms than their heavier designs. The Argo(i) also includes a new Lyra designed, line contact stylus profile which reduces groove wear and greatly reduces the audibility of groove damage. This results in a perceived increase in signal to noise ratio due to the lower noise floor! It has much improved tracking ability as well and is much easier to set-up. The output voltage is .45mV, so the Lyra Argo(i) will mate with almost ANY Moving Coil phono stage you own! Recommended tracking force is 1.7-1.8 grams with a recommended loading of 10 Ohms to 47k Ohms.

Attention Lyra owners: To make this offer even more enticing, Lyra offers incredible trade-in prices! Call us for more info! Call us with any questions or to hear the magic of the Lyra Argo for yourself! At these prices, many more audiophiles and music lovers now have access to a higher level of analog reproduction…Thank You Lyra!
