The big news: all the upgrades inside the UDP-1 Deluxe are proprietary conrad-johnson premium parts, including all the polystyrene film capacitors and custom Vishay bulk metal foil resistors in the signal path and in the power supply! The sonic benefits of the c-j parts result in a more cohesive soundstage and much better imaging, a more fleshed out bottom end and a silky smooth top. With its superb clarity, spectacular imaging and beguiling depth of sound, the UDP-1 Deluxe is a reference-quality player that will have you singing the praises of 2-channel and multichannel audio. The Deluxe version is heavily upgraded over the stock UDP-1 with huge upgraded power supplies, proprietary conrad-johnson polystyrene capacitors and custom Vishay bulk metal foil resistors for an enormous sonic improvement.  Four independent MOSFET zero-feedback voltage regulators feed 24-bit/192kHz Burr-Brown DACs and a carefully designed analog output stage deliver outstanding audio performance every time! An on-board Dolby Digital and DTS processor lets you hear all of the action from your favorite movies and concerts, and its universal player capabilities extend to your Video CD and CD-R/RW's, as well as DVD-R and DVD-RW (in video mode).
