The new Simaudio Moon CD-1 uses highly advanced digital and analog circuitry to deliver a new benchmark in CD playback at this price point. Its digital section employs up-sampling circuitry which processes the signal at a sampling rate of 24bit/352.8k. All analog and digital circuitry is kept on separate boards (pure copper tracing and gold plating), each with their own ground plane. Accurate clocking ensures the lowest possible levels of jitter. The analog output stage is a Simaudio hallmark: incredibly detailed with dynamic power in reserve, a rich and natural midrange and high frequencies devoid of any digital harshness.
