The Battery Powered Nova Phonomena, an exceptionally quiet Phonostage!

It doesn’t take a Ph.D to know that a battery powered phono preamp will be one of the quietest components in your system. With all the gain applied to the low-level signal from your phono cartridge, noise can be a big problem.

Not with the new Musical Surroundings Nova Phonomena phono stage! The battery pack in the power supply of the Nova is self charging; these “smart” batteries disconnect from the circuit when charging and they self-charge if the unit goes unused for a week. That’s pretty smart! Two, seven cell NiMH “AA” packs, one for each positive and negative power supply are charged separately in case there is different current usage between the power supplies. This fully dual mono, discrete circuit phonostage can drive any cartridge; gain is adjustable from 40-60dB and loading is fully adjustable from 30 Ohms to 100k Ohms!

The sound is phenomenal (or should we say Phonomenal!) This is a killer phonostage, and one we know you will hearing a lot more about very soon! Very highly recommended!
