PS Audio has been working on the Soloist for well over a year. They went through the painstaking process of insuring they could fit everything into such a small space and they had to get all the safety approvals to make sure there was never any doubt about installation. Getting safety approval for an in-wall power device is no easy task and took a long time and a lot of work. The Soloist is fully ETL Approved!

So, what’s inside the Soloist? First, check out the beautiful quarter inch thick solid machined aluminum plate, it's a gorgeous piece when you see it on your wall. Behind the plate is an updated version of their best-selling High Current Ultimate Outlet, encased in a protective plastic cover with three wires coming out the back to connect to your house wiring. They also added spike and surge protection, making the Soloist the world's first and only in-wall AC power conditioner on the planet!

Down with Noise, Up with Power! The Soloist reduces noise by up to 40 dB, meaning that whatever noise is on the line will be reduced by over 100 times! Spike protection is second to none, using PS Audio’s famous MOV technology for surge protection, the Soloist provides 100% spike protection for anything connected.

The real beauty of the Soloist is its ability to provide clean protected AC where you need it, at the wall. Now you don’t need expensive, upgraded power cords coming in and out of your conditioner! Even outboard power conditioners are better served if they first get a dose of clean, unrestricted A/C from the Soloist before they go to work on providing even better A/C.

What you will hear (and see): Three dimensionality is greatly enhanced, as is the beauty of an audio system's top-end and midrange, yet never at the expense of dynamics or bass. In a Home Theater set-up, the picture noticeably improves. You’ll easily see better color definition, clarity and image depth, as well.

Installation:
The Soloist can be easy to install. In fact, if you are installing the Soloist in a double gang box (one that already has two duplex sockets) then it’s as easy as a Power Port and takes just a minute or two. If you are replacing a single duplex socket in a single gang box, then it is a bit more difficult, but still pretty simple. Everything you need is included with the Soloist, including the double gang, in-wall junction box.

To install in a space with only a single gang box, you will need to first remove the single gang box, create a larger opening in the drywall to accommodate the new double gang box, and install the Soloist. (Refer to an electrician if this sounds confusing.)
