Anthony Wilson exhibits an uncanny ability to produce a sound from his guitar like no other, a beautifully resonate tone that is unmatched by any fellow jazz guitarist. His majestic efforts on the guitar backed by Mark Ferber on the drums and Joe Bagg on the Hammond B-3 allow the trio to deliver some of the best jazz trio music we have heard. Following up on his previous recording 'Our Gang,' Groove Note is proud to announce the release of Anthony Wilson's Savivity. This album features a similar mix of originals and covers and with performances that cover the bluesy up tempo groove of “Fleur D’Ennui” through to the introspection of “A Child Is Born.”  Since the release of Our Gang in 2001, Anthony has been working almost non-stop as the featured guitarist with Diana Krall’s Quartet. This hybrid multichannel SACD release from Harmony is simply splendid in musical content as well as sonics.
