Released the very same year (1969), only ten months after their debut on Atlantic records, the quartet of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham continued their world onslaught with Led Zeppelin II. This second volume continues the use of classic power rock and roll mixed with the blues. Richer in tonality and studio sonics than their previous effort, the song writing and arrangements showcase a bit more sophistication as well. Attaining a very quick gold record and eventually triple platinum status. It has become, like most of the Zep's output, a rock classic.
