The floor standing speakers in the Chorus 700V Series deliver much better bass extension while maintaining the incredible soundstage width and depth of the bookshelf designs. Thanks to the improved suspension and magnetic structure in the 1” Focal inverted dome tweeter, these loudspeakers are flat up to 28kHz. This increased bandwidth allows the Chorus speakers to reproduce the extended highs from vinyl and Super Audio CD sources. The 714V is loaded with two 5” Polyglass divers, one for the mid-band and one woofer. These proprietary drivers are exceptionally light weight while being extremely rigid. The Tweeter:
As in the Utopia Be Series, the Profile tweeter uses a Poron suspension that helps deliver increased speed, frequency extension and inner detail found in today’s best pressings and CD’s. The use of Poron prevents the suspension from negatively acting upon the tweeter diaphragm which reduces the levels of distortion by a factor of ten. This immediately translates to an extremely smooth and detailed high frequency presentation, especially at 2 kHz, where the ear is extremely sensitive.
