In their unending pursuit of the source, Esoteric has spent the last two decades helping audiophiles extract more information from their digital discs. The company found they needed the right speaker to reproduce this previously hidden detail. Designed by Esoteric in Japan and built and fi nished at Tannoy, the world-famous British speaker manufacturer (now there’s a combination of talent!), the Esoteric MG-20 has achieved their lofty goals.

The “MG” in the name of these two loudspeakers, one bookshelf and one tower, represents Esoteric’s new magnesium drivers, the world’s first Mg diaphragms ever produced. They offer exceptional resolution, crystal-clear transparency, and high rigidity with a lightning fast decay and less coloration.

They are built from the highest quality components: all hard-wired with no printed-circuit boards, wired entirely with Van den Hul’s best silver-plated wiring, 5 binding posts for bi-wire applications plus a ground connection, special audiophile-grade floor protecting spikes and the list goes on and on. The cabinet is no afterthought, as well. A trapezoidal-shaped (non-parallel sides) birch enclosure fi nished with beautiful American cherry wood employs extensive cross-bracing and serious internal damping.
