The album is cited as one of the quintessential alternative rock albums of the 80s by Rolling Stone magazine and has received numerous international accolades. It is arguably one of the most epic and influential indie rock albums of all time.

MoFi had to meticulously research the provided tapes to ascertain which tapes were the true original masters for this Dual Layer SACD. Once they were found to be authentic, MoFi engineers were stunned at the amazing sonic impact captured in the half-inch 30 IPS analog tapes, which was missing from the standard commercial releases.  The sound on the CD layer offers wider frequency response, greater sound-stage depth and far superior resolution. If you have an SACD player, then you’re in for an even bigger leap in sound quality!
