Newly Upgraded for 2008, the Musical Fidelity X-LPSv8 is a Serious Contender at a Killer Price!

The circuitry for the new Musical Fidelity X-LPSv8 was derived from their kW550 Integrated Amp. The RIAA curve is dead-on accurate, the signal-to-noise ratio is excellent and the sound quality from either MM or MC cartridges is outstanding. The X-LPSv8 has the technical performance of some very expensive, stand-alone phono stages. We have found the sound quality from the Musical Fidelity X-LPSv8 to be exemplary. The new “v8” version for 2008 really bested the older “v3”version in our reference system.

Whether with MM or MC cartridges, the X-LPSv8 will deliver dead quiet backgrounds, its noise floor is ridiculously low! It has great extension at both frequency extremes, the perfect gain stage for most preamps, integrated amps or receivers, and has a warm and inviting overall sound. For the money, it would hard to find a better MM/MC phono preamplifier.
