MUDCRUTCH (TOM PETTY) - MUDCRUTCH (LP + BONUS CD)Mudcrutch Mudcrutch On Vinyl LP + Bonus Audiophile-Grade, Uncompressed CD Tom Petty and Mudcrutch Finally Make Their Debut Album Over 30 Years Later! In the summer of 2007, Tom Petty reunited Mudcrutch, consisting of himself, Heartbreakers Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench, original bandmember Tom Leadon and Randall Marsh, who joined when Mudcrutch first went to Los Angeles in search of a record deal in the early '70s. Now, more than 30 years later, Mudcrutch finally has its debut album. With new Petty songs and a handfull of covers, the self-titled release is both classic rock and a rock classic. Petty's first band, The Sundowners, changed their name to The Epics and then to Mudcrutch around 1970. Mudcrutch became the house band at Dub's Diner in hometown Gainesville, Fl, before the group moved to Hollywood. The Mudcrutch story is told in the recent Tom Petty feature documentary Runnin' Down A Dream, directed by Peter Bogdanovich. The vinyl version comes with a very special, totally uncompressed CD version of the album unavailable anywhere else! The difference between the regular CD and the CD packaged with the LP is extreme: the drums hit harder and the vocals jump! Without the standard amount of compression used in today’s recordings, you can take the original master tape with you or burn it onto you iPod! This is Warner Brothers' tribute to audiophiles everywhere! "I just finished a record with Mudcrutch, my old band before the Heartbreakers. I am over the moon about it. I couldn't have hoped for it to be as good as it came out." - Tom Petty Mudcrutch Mudcrutch Track Listing 1. Shady Grove
